How I Beat Low Back Pain
by M.A. Price
For years I endured discomfort, and sometimes agony, daily. Even performing the most basic of daily tasks was difficult. Like so many others, I suffered from low-back pain…until recently.
As an avid health and fitness advocate, I can be found at the West Orange YMCA the first thing most mornings. Unfortunately, my low back pain became so intense that it prevented me from participating in these activities. It also interfered with normal daily activities, like putting my socks on and even getting out of a chair. I sought the advice of a close friend in the medical field, who is also a frequent member of the gym. He suggested I speak to Dr. Peter Brockman, a well-known local Doctor of Chiropractic whom he stated was doing great things for those suffering from the same issues I was experiencing.
My initial appointment at South Lake Wellness & Injury Center allowed me the opportunity to speak personally with Dr. Brockman. His initial patient interview and exam was extremely thorough. This process immediately identified the source of the problem that had been ailing me for years. In order to validate his diagnosis, Dr. Brockman ordered x-rays and an MRI of my back. As a result, his findings were completely conclusive and a comprehensive treatment program was scheduled.
After only a couple of minor Chiropractic adjustments, I experienced relief from the agony that once existed. Performing daily activities was no longer a struggle. To augment my healing, Dr. Brockman introduced a process called VAX-D, a mechanism that is capable of providing relief to the low back through a series of treatments. Not only were these treatments non-evasive and non-surgical, they actually felt pleasant and even calming while receiving them. The results were amazing. My back pain had virtually disappeared within weeks without medication, and more importantly, without surgery.
I participated in a brief series of physical therapy sessions by his very capable staff after my treatments had been completed. I was shown proper stretching and exercises that would further diminish the likelihood of my low back pain from returning. My workouts at the YMCA are so much more productive. Now, I visit Dr. Brockman’s office only occasionally for massage therapy sessions which help revive my muscles from a difficult workout.
As an individual who took part in the full experience of Dr. Brockman’s practice, I can pronounce with great confidence that my low back issues were diagnosed and treated with professionalism and accuracy. I would highly recommend and fully endorse his practice to anyone who may be experiencing the same pain or symptoms as the ones I dealt with for years. My only regret is not meeting Dr. Peter Brockman many years ago.
